Saturday night concluded an amazing first season of Saturday Night Live UK, LI providing RGBWWCW 5CH LED tape and drivers on the set as well as weekly sketch extras designed by Owen Gundry & Catherine Land. 
 
A huge pleasure working alongside such a talented team on set and a massive thank you to all the LI crew for the hard work throughout the series. Bring on Season 2!

Letting the Light In | Venice Biennale ✨

A first in a series, as we take a look into delivering lighting installations for some of the world’s leading artists.

This case study features one of our most recent works at the British Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, working with Turner Prize-winning artist Lubaina Himid.

Working closely with the British Council (Arts) and M+B Studio to help realise Lubaina’s vision, our Production Engineering team designed bespoke daylight lightboxes, custom rigging solutions, and a tunable high-output white LED system with a CRI 95+ to create a bright, immersive exhibition environment where every artwork could be experienced exactly as intended.

From carefully controlled daylight integration to precision lighting scenes, every detail was engineered to enhance colour, atmosphere, and visual impact.

Spring cleaning in full swing 🧼✨

As we head into May, it’s been an exciting and productive start to the year at LIHQ.

From reconfiguring our warehouse space, to completing our transition to HireHop rental software, and finalising our new office + R&D space — every move has been about working smarter and more efficiently.

Thanks to all the effort from the team and freelancers involved 👏

Now we’re ready to kick-start the summer season and welcome our crew and clients back to base ☀️ Let’s go!

OLIVIER AWARDS 2026 🎭

Always a privilege to be back at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, no more so than yesterday for the with ✨
 
Delighted to be supporting Lighting Designer Gemma O’Sullivan with our BeamLED pillar package. An arrangement that subtly complements and enhances the architecture of this historic venue.
 
Our team installed all pillars, cabling, control, and networking — 120 in total, each running an individual 24ch IntelliFlex personality, enabling individual colour change and animated effects across each fixture. 
 
A huge effort from the crew, each clocking over 20,000 steps while navigating every corner and level of this incredible building and always rewarding to see it come to life.

LAST ONE LAUGHING UK 🤣

A room full of top UK comedians… and a whole lot of LED 👀
Did you catch the final of series 2 on Amazon Prime last week?
 
We loved bringing this one to life, delivering over 300 custom LED battens, seamlessly integrated into the wood panelling of Owen Gundry’s incredible set.
 
With 300+ control ports, the setup also powered a mix of 64 LED/m Intelliflex, super bright RGB, Neon Flex and Bi-Col LED.

Live from Television Centre on a Saturday night! 🎬✨
 
Great to be part of the brand-new Saturday Night Live UK, supplying RGBWWCW LED tape and drivers across the set and sketch extras designed by Owen Gundry and Catherine Land.
 
As well as our 5ch LED drivers, Some elements required a wireless solution, so here we utilised the Multiverse system tying in the RGB control across the studio.
 
Catch it live every Saturday at 10pm on Sky One until mid May!

COMIC RELIEF 2026 ❤️
 
We’ve been proud to support Comic Relief since 2017, and this year introduced a fresh set update to Patrick Doherty’s sleek design.
 
Delivering 64 x 360° Pixel Wands alongside over 1000m of Pixel LED tape, all brought to life by Lighting Designer Chris Kempton and Operator Dan Street, making full use of our 24ch IntelliFlex personality.
 
Broadcast live from HQ1 , Media City UK, this production was powered by an amazing team of local freelancers and a huge effort from our Manchester crew.
 
Massive congratulations to everyone involved in helping raise money for such important causes ❤️✨

THE CLAUDIA WINKLEMAN SHOW 📽
 
Lights up for a brand new show! ✨🎞
 
The LI team supported the launch of the new The Claudia Winkleman Show on Friday night, delivering the scenic LED lighting for a stylish chat show in TC3 Television Centre
 
Designed by Chris Webster and lit by Chris Rigby, the compact set uses RGB LED accents to introduce subtle colour casts and atmosphere, adding depth and warmth across the studio.
 
Working to a tight 7-day turnaround, the team pulled the kit and installation together and ensured the set will now be ready to turn around weekly as the show goes into regular production.

HANGING OUT WITH ANT & DEC PODCAST 🔴🔵 🎙️
 
We were recently brought in to upgrade the existing LED set-up for the Hanging Out with Ant & Dec podcast, transforming the space with a liner LED lighting solution suitable for broadcast.
 
Working with set designer Lucy Fyfe our team delivered a lighting installation that complements the design, installing a high output CCT-tunable LED tape (2700K–6000K), integrated into the shelving units to create a clean look that enhances the depth and warmth of the set.
 
We also installed a dedicated control desk, allowing the lighting to be fully tuned for camera.
