🔍 Up to 50,000 people with epilepsy become pregnant across Europe each year.
Yet for many anti-seizure medications, we still don't have enough evidence about their long-term effects on children's health and development. That's why we're launching the LIFETIME project: a new international network bringing together leading centres across the UK and and Europe to collect long-term data, improve understanding of medication safety and help families make informed treatment decisions.

Initially involving up to 350 mothers and children, with ambitions to grow to around 2,000 families, LIFETIME represents a major step towards answering some of the most important unanswered questions in epilepsy care. Find out more about this important project here: https://epilepsy-institute.org.uk/eri/news/epilepsy-research-institute-launches-network-improve-understanding-of-anti-seizure-medication-safety-in-pregnancy/
