There’s a running joke in the studio that no project is complete without Philippa redesigning a staircase.

And, truthfully, she’s always right to do so. Modern staircases never seem to flow quite as they are meant to. That is until she has put her hand to them.

In the case of our Lake Como project, we had the opportunity to create one from scratch. Crafted in wrought iron, its intricate detailing anchors the home so beautifully. 

Who knew such a humble material could possess such majesty?

We’re excited to share some news from the studio.

Laetitia Thorp has been promoted to Creative Director.

As part of the next generation of Thorp, design has been at the centre of Letty’s world from an early age. Over the years, she has played an important role in shaping the studio’s evolution whilst developing a distinctive creative voice of her own.

Bringing creativity, curiosity and an exceptional eye for detail to every project, her contribution has become an integral part of the work we do.

We’re delighted to see Letty step into this role. Congratulations, Letty.

Paired with ’s Pansy rug... eek. Truly a match made in heaven.

May was a busy month for the studio.

Trips to projects included Cap Ferrat, Paris, Connecticut and New York to name a few.
