It affects US ALL as we can feel this even when surrounded by people.

This month, there has been much to celebrate about the incredible achievements and courage of women across the globe!
But sadly, women’s mental health has been disproportionately impacted during the pandemic. Employers can support female staff to thrive and prevent any reaching crisis point, where they may be forced to leave.
IWD may have now passed but we must keep working on raising awareness of gender bias for all our colleagues. We have had some fantastic feedback from the training, and we would love to deliver this to your organisation. Living through two years of a pandemic has added more stressors to the lives of professional women. Recent studies show that women are suffering from BURNOUT more so than their male counterparts, forcing many to consider leaving their jobs or downshift.
Women are less likely to come forward about their struggles if they fear marginalisation or bias. Our ‘Avoiding Burnout’ webinar can help your female employees recognise the signs of burnout and find ways of coping.

During these unsettling times, are you finding there is a lot to keep us awake at night?
The upsetting events unfolding in Ukraine are affecting the sleep of many. In this world of constant streaming news, it is all too easy to obsessively consume broadcasts to keep abreast of what’s going on. However, this is detrimental to stress levels and sleep patterns!
This Friday is WORLD SLEEP DAY, with a theme of ‘Quality Sleep, Sound Mind, Happy World’. Encourage staff to stabilise sleep and improve wellbeing by following some good sleep hygiene:
• Stick to a sleep routine; going to bed and rising at the same time each day.
• Ensure bed is associated with sleep and not the use of devices or work.
• Avoid over-consumption of news.
• Get some natural light every day to have a positive effect on biological rhythms.
• Put the day to rest using relaxation techniques to unwind.
If you find employees would benefit from understanding more about the ‘Science of Sleep’ then please click for more details about our webinar: https://workingmindset.co.uk/solutions/webinars-and-workshops/science-of-sleep/

We can only truly understand how staff are coping with the adjustment to hybrid working if we spend time building trust and psychological safety.
Creating this safe environment is possible when leaders lean into vulnerability. Staff will feel confident to open up when they know they will not be marginalised for sharing their concerns and anxieties. Read our blog on staff wellbeing and hybrid working here: https://workingmindset.co.uk/2022/02/01/staff-wellbeing-hybrid-working/

The shift to a hybrid model of work provides the opportunity to consult with staff on what they consider a good vs a bad day to be. We know the following factors are rated high and reduce stress caused by setbacks and disappointments:
• Trust
