There’s not much to warrant my visit to the cinema in this day and age but when my favourite band of all time release a documentary covering their 50 year reign of the genre how could I resist? Up the irons! 🤘🎸
Throwback to when an audience member asked me to animate the Beast live during my challenge the animator livestream sessions on YouTube. Really enjoyed knocking this one out!
Thought I’d share the progress update on Gracie’s Thriller Dance as the Michael Movie is doing the rounds! Thank you to all who have and still are donating for this animation🙏
I really enjoyed drawing and animating Jafar in my 5 part livestream demonstration on YouTube where I talked about utilising the 12 Laws of animation to convey authenticity via performance. An audience member chose the character and I utilised pose to pose and straight ahead by doing a Google search for various images of Jafar and going from there. I’ve always loved this character but have never really drawn or explored him - better late than never!
✍️Started a Gracie Goodbear Sketch book along side the thriller dance sequence! Thank you to all who are donating to the Gracie project🙏

Studies made from one of my favourite characters, old bustle britches, the honourable sheriff of Nottingham! Lounsbery’s masterpiece taught me to not obsess so much over volume and because of that my work is so much more alive!

A collection of frames from my study of John Lounsbery’s amazing wolf from the masterpiece that is a Sword in the Stone
In 2022 I did a series of 11 livestreams breaking down this amazing anime fight sequence from Naruto. The purpose was not to simply copy it but to exemplify to my young anime enthused audience all the elements that made it great. We examined shot composition, staging, continuity and of course animation - especially in relation to timing and working effectively with limited frame rates! I actually learned a lot from the process too which was an unexpected bonus!
