[!!!] Par-teeeee announcement :: Since covid passed, Selective Work has remained in the undercurrents, sticking to throwing DIY raves and partees. From ancient woodlands to dreamy bedrooms, underpinned by a connected collective NRG, pursuing our intuition through impulse and expression.
Warm feelings of fuzz as we think back to last Dec to that certain vault in Woolwich where we were joined by Whomp's .annawhomp - 9 months later - we're gagging to get you all in for some more sweaty club action.
We're kicking the new club focussed series off, with a heavy, reminiscent nod to the energy of the SW party that happened on 14th September 2019 in the now defunct Dalston. It was one to remember, but we here in 2023, in SET Woolwich - and it's only gonna be wilder and chunkier...
Bringing you two of London's finest forward thinking executioners + with a reaal fresh perspective on swampy, deep, dynamic, textural explosive attitude. If these buzzwords don't quite hit the cortex, expect a serving of heady hybrid psychedelic tinged percussive anomalies + rollers. [++] with SW residents on closing duties.
Ticket’s available via RA.
[**] If you are strapped for cash or need a lil help drop a message and we’ll sort ya out ;-) Money shouldn’t get in the way of a good tiiime...

++ another [SW] debut in the form of DJ Balance aka stoker, the lynch pin behind Brum's e-x-p-a-n-d-i-n-g podcast and club night, pushing a grass roots focus through organic connections to the [dj's] , [dancers] and the [music].
A young talent who has done his research, steadily shaping an all vinyl approach. From reviving the back catalogue at emortal records to honing his sound at the .soundsystem + [SW] collaborative forest raves.
An infectious attitude ++ raw love for the sound, expect a heady journey of psychedelic gems...

The selectors of Selective Work
While the people behind the Selective Work project have been developing in different cities and countries, following a maze of individual trajectories and pursuing satellite collaborations, the passion for musical diversity always remains shared.
The collective’s radio show airs on Music Box Radio every third Wednesday of the month. Hosting the slot is Rortingah, jack-of-all-genres and lover of cats on synthesizers in space (see https://youtu.be/J7UwSVsiwzI for reference).
The radio show is just the first expression of what has always been a community of open-minded friends with selective tastes.
