We are hiring a freelance Monitoring & Evaluation Partner to help us understand and articulate the impact of our work as we approach our 25th anniversary. Help us tell the story of how Streetwise Opera has inspired and empowered people with lived experience of homelessness over the last 25 years.
Working from home, with travel to meetings and sessions in London, Manchester and Nottingham, from September 2026 to October 2027, for a total fee of £6,500 (inclusive of VAT, if applicable).

As part of our 25th anniversary heritage project, we are looking back at Streetwise Opera productions from across our history. This includes props, costumes, scores, librettos, posters, photographs and video recordings. We are incredibly grateful to Big Yellow Self Storage in Nine Elms for keeping all of these materials safe for us.

Amazing news! Streetwise Opera has been awarded £189,389 by The National Lottery Heritage Fund to preserve and celebrate 25 years of cultural heritage created by people with experience of homelessness in England. The grant, made possible by National Lottery players, will support a major heritage project marking our 25th anniversary, which includes working with the British Library to create oral histories of people who have been homeless.

An exceptional group of artists will join Streetwise Opera’s London performers for a special fundraising concert at St John’s Waterloo on Friday 25 September. Sopranos Sophie Bevan MBE and Elizabeth Watts, mezzo-soprano Jennifer Johnston and tenor Matthew McKinney will perform alongside our London group, with pianists Sebastian Wybrew and Roelof Temmingh.
The evening will also include the premiere of a new piece by Roelof Temmingh, performed by Matthew McKinney and Streetwise Opera’s performers. An Evening with Streetwise Opera and Friends will celebrate the power of the human voice while raising funds for our work with people who have experienced homelessness in London, Manchester and Nottingham.
