Don’t forget to do your pelvic tilts! Anterior tilt, neutral pelvis & imprint!
This pilates specific exercise helps strengthen your abdominal muscles, and stretches the muscles in your lower back.
Lie with your back on the floor in a neutral position (your neutral spine is somewhere between the two extremes), lie with your legs bent and toes facing forward.
For your imprint position, pull your belly button in toward your spine, pushing your pelvis up toward the ceiling- Lower back should be completely flat on the floor, then return the pelvis back to neutral.
For your anterior tilt lie in the same positioning and create a small arch in your lumber spine tilting the pelvis forward, then return back to neutral. Alternate between these 3 positions while deep breathing. 👍🏽😁
