PlugStream Sense already brings together your electricity tariff, ready-by time and charger status to make smarter charging decisions. Now, vehicle data can give it an even clearer picture of the energy your EV needs.

Tesla is the first connected vehicle provider supported in beta. Owners of compatible Tesla vehicles can securely connect their account to share read-only information with PlugStream Sense, including:

🔋 Current battery level
🎯 Tesla charge limit
🔌 Plugged-in and charging status
⚡ AC charging power
🕒 How recent the vehicle data is

PlugStream Sense combines this information with your tariff, required departure time, charger readiness and energy already delivered to create a more informed charging plan.
Privacy and control remain central:

✅ PlugStream only controls your charger—not your vehicle
✅ The connection cannot unlock, wake or send charging commands to your Tesla
✅ PlugStream does not request or retain vehicle location data
✅ Boost and Charge Now always take priority
✅ Uncertain or outdated vehicle data will not trigger a new automated decision

You don’t need a Tesla to use PlugStream Sense. Any vehicle can be added in MyPlugStream and used with an energy estimate.

Adding your vehicle also helps us understand which manufacturer integrations customers would like us to support next.
