Not sure how I feel about 2025 - it gave me a new life to hold and took one I loved forever all within 11 weeks ❤️‍🩹 One month without you my dear papa… December didn’t slow down or soften, it kept moving while we were just trying to survive it. I still talk to you in silence and look for you in signs I can’t explain. You are transformed & somehow still here 🤍🤍🤍🕊️🕊️🕊️

One week ago, our entire family went on a road trip to Nanyuki. That night, Alana went to sleep cuddled next to her nana + nani and her favorite Mebs told her a bedtime story. Somewhere after that, my papa suddenly and so unexpectedly slipped away and never woke up the next morning. There’s something incredibly peaceful and incredibly painful in that.

My heart is broken, you were my best friend, my biggest supporter and our everything. I wish I could call you one more time, I wish I could tell you how this week has been. I wish you’d cook us crab just one more time. I hope you know how deeply you were loved by so many people. I hope you know how much we miss you. Thank you for everything papa, for the sacrifices you made quietly, the love you gave so freely, the way you always showed up for us.
