Recently, Palm PR attended Africa's Travel Indaba in Durban, spending the week immersed in the people, stories and experiences driving tourism across the continent forward.

Alongside the conference itself, we had the opportunity to interview key voices from across the industry, including South Africa’s Minister of Tourism, while hearing firsthand how destinations, operators and hospitality brands are evolving to meet a new era of travel.

The week also gave us the chance to connect with some truly inspiring brands and operators, including Curiocity Africa and Fugitives Drift - both offering deeply rooted, experience-led approaches to tourism and storytelling in South Africa.

Beyond the meetings and conversations, there were unforgettable travel moments too: time aboard Rovos Rail, dinners at The Oyster Box, long lunches by the sea at Sala Beach, and early morning ocean swims before days spent discovering what’s next for African tourism.

Last week, the Palm PR team had the privilege of exploring South Africa’s spectacular Northern Drakensberg on a press trip hosted by two truly special properties: Montusi Mountain Lodge and Cavern Drakensberg.

From hiking to the summit of Montusi Peak to immersing ourselves in the region’s breathtaking landscapes, the trip offered a powerful reminder of what makes South Africa such an extraordinary destination.

What stood out most was hearing the stories behind these properties - from their rich histories to their deep commitment to supporting local communities and creating meaningful impact in the Northern Drakensberg.

Last night at the Aethos Hotel penthouse, we gathered some of the sharpest minds in wellness travel.

Palm Founder Emily Keogh was joined by Jenny Southan of Globetrender, Harry Jameson of Pillar Wellbeing and Vasiliki Mamidaki Venetopoulou of Minos Palace. Together they explored longevity, soulspan and what it really means today to travel for your health.

Palm partnered with Loop VIP to host the wonderful Nick Stear‘s 40th birthday party at House 21 Home House.

Down Home House’s storied staircases, through beautiful courtyards, in and out of antique lifts, past live music and performers in hidden drawing rooms — guests drifted from one beautiful space to the next.

Guests enjoyed live entertainment, great DJs, a specially curated cocktail list and partied into the night!

We are an office of Pizza lovers and for our latest social we headed to 081 Pizzeria just round the corner from us in Shoreditch.
