Another day without school. It is hard sometimes for sure, but it is often magical.

The queen and her family. Our first project from "Feltcraft Making Dolls, Gifts and Toys - Petra Berger". Antonia fell in love with the many projects in here and we adapt this one to things we already had. Instead of wooden dolls we used corks and despite this not being natural felt I used this acrylic one from an old project before I knew better. Crafting with my own kid is a dream come true!

Tomorrow May Day! A brilliant community organised event with our friends at Howard Park in Letchworth Garden city. Looks a bit wet but put on a jacket and join us for boat 🛶 making, natural bracelets 🌸 and paper butterflies 🦋 . No Tv no money needed. Come and say hello 👋

On this house there is nothing more serious than cardboard play . Shield 🛡️and mask made from 7inch pizza boxes. Loving the prep but my shoulder is in fire from all the repetitive cutting, is it time to move to a cricut maker?

This is some of the stuff my kids play with, seriously. Sometimes I think there is nothing to show but actually there is so much going on in here all the time. And anything I thought I knew about art and creativity my kids have reworked in me. I'm learning just as much as they are.

more photos from Saturday . Nature crowns were on, families raving under the gazebo and later after the rain we did 'Block printing with potatoes" we did gorgeous banners with the children and brave parents who came after lunch with raincoats to carry on having fun.

Liquid summer☔️ We still had lots of wonderful creative families and courageous artist from 2 to 70 somethings. First, nature crowns 👑 for the kiddies Rave then with the the help of and her brilliant volunteers at Letchworth Festival stunning Banners made with 🥔 potato block printing and nature inspired designs. 🍃 🌸

Super proud of these 4-7 year olds, who made magic with Soft pasteles on Sand paper. Inspired by the book "the magic crayon by and at Debutots summer camps.

Experimenting with Ink on wet 🌧and grey summer's day. I'm with Donovan always pushing 🤛🏼 the boundaries of our comfort zone 🎨. We are back at Rothamstead research cafe.
