Job Title: Remote Educational Psychologist (Freelance)
Role Overview
We are seeking skilled and compassionate Educational Psychologists to collaborate with Local Authorities, Schools, and Parents in assessing children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role involves creating tailored individual plans based on each child’s unique needs. Cases will vary in complexity depending on the child’s symptoms and behavior.
Location
- Assessments are conducted virtually.
- Occasional travel may be required, depending on specific cases.
Pay
- Pay rates will vary depending on case complexity.
- Minimum: £200 per assessment, with potential for higher rates for more complex cases.
- The payment framework and process can be discussed further during the application.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for children with SEND.
- Develop and implement individualised support plans based on assessment findings.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support.
- Offer guidance and recommendations to enhance learning and emotional well-being.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records in compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Stay informed on best practices and developments in psychology, particularly in child development and SEND.
Essential Requirements
- HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist.
- Experience working with children, including those with special educational needs and autism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and professionals effectively.
Skills & Attributes
- Expertise in psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions.
- Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
- Knowledge of SEND-related practices and support strategies.
- Empathy, patience, and a collaborative mindset.
- Organisational skills to manage varying case complexities.
