Wake me up when capitalism ends
Acrylic & collage on recycled canvas 60 x 40
Choosing a profession of an artist often means a struggle to fit within the system that demands constant
productivity and self marketing. Dealing with the feeling of exhaustion of simply trying to survive in the
late stage capitalism, being flooded by endless news of conflicts, natural disasters, rise of fascism,
authoritarianism and technocracy as well as adverts and brazen call to buy goods.
The world around us can look very grim atm but observing nature and her cycles can give us a pathway to follow.
Sleeping in the middle of flames and chaos, there is a hope in the form of nature growing inside the body, waiting to be awaken just like it always does after a long winter. Reminding us that we always have been a part of nature and reconnecting with it can help us heal.
