📣 Can you help us understand what support NICU families really need? 📣

Our aim is to improve the support that mums and dads receive both on the neonatal unit and at home after discharge. Taking part in our online survey will help us to understand your experience as a parent during and after neonatal care, including the potential impact on your mental health.

If your baby has recently been cared for in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and they are due to go home soon or have gone home in the past 6-months, please click on the link below to find out more and to see how you can take part.

We understand that discharge is not the end of a family’s neonatal journey. Our aim is to make sure that every NICU parent feels well supported both in hospital and at home with their baby after discharge. 🫶🏼

Can you help us improve future support by sharing your experience of what it is like to care for your baby after neonatal intensive care?

We would like to understand the potential impact on your mental health and what support you think NICU families really need.

Parents need to be cared for too…

We understand that care on the neonatal unit is focussed around the baby, but providing care for parents should be an essential part of that.

Providing compassionate care and offering parents psychological support throughout their neonatal journey will ensure that they themselves are able to provide their baby with the best care during this crucial time in their development.

12/07/2023

We want to ensure that every parent is actively offered support at every stage of their neonatal journey and that this support feels accessible to all. 🫶🏼

Can you help us improve the support that is available to NICU families in the future? If you have have had a baby in neonatal intensive care and you are going to be taking them home in the next 4-weeks or you have taken them home in the past 4-weeks, please consider taking part in our research.
