We are a charity which supports adults and children with learning disabilities, and their families.

LDN (Learning Disability Network) London is an award-winning charity providing services for people with learning disabilities and their families in Westminster and other London boroughs. We believe that people with learning disabilities and their families have the right to live with respect and dignity throughout their lives. And that the people we support should receive services which respond to what they want, are respectful to them, shaped by them and meet their needs.

The theme of Learning Disability Week 2026 is 'Do you see me?'

We don't want anyone to feel unseen. Thanks to your support we help people with learning disabilities to feel understood, have opportunities and live the life they want to.

We'd be grateful if you continue to help us do that.

If you have any questions about this or want to find out more, please visit our website at ldnlondon.org or write to Ciaran at [email protected].

The Quality Checkers are people with learning disabilities who review our services. 📝 They are good at their job and we are better too because of that.

Coproduction is important to us. This means that the people with the experience, such as people with learning disabilities and families, are at the front of making the decisions.

The Quality Checkers meet with people we support and find out if we are doing a good job or not.

They are professional, empathetic and deeply care about what they do.

And thanks to their feedback we have made improvements to how we train staff and the way we work.

Pictured here are just 3 out of our team of 8 Quality Checkers. Thanks to the team for their work over the past year.

We had a BBQ today at our main office! 🌞 People we support and staff enjoyed the food and the sunshine.

It was great to come together as a community during Learning Disability Week 2026.

We were also getting ready for the England World Cup football match tonight. ⚽

Thank you to the LDN Eats team for a lovely lunch!!

Kassra talked to us about his experience of looking for a job. He told us about how employers need to make adjustments for people with learning disabilities. And he talked about facing rejection.

We are very happy that since this interview Kassra has got a job. Congratulations Kassra!! 🎉

We are celebrating Learning Disability Week 2026. We'd love for you to join us.

This week we will be sharing some of the ways we help people to feel seen, heard and understood, and to take part in their community.

Hub highlights ✨

🚢 Trip to the Golden Hinde - Daniel and Takrim went to visit the boat that captain Sir Francis Drake sailed around the world with. Thank you to the museum staff at Golden Hinde for the tour.

🤖 Robotics with Brendan - George, Alison and Kelly were learning how to connect the micro-controller to the audioboard. (I hope that's right, Brendan...). The group is making a music instrument called a theremin (or a music box) so they can help people with disabilities play music. Please think about funding this project so we can continue with the group. Write to Brendan at [email protected].

🪡Crafts with Amelie - Another lovely afternoon of crafts. This time making phone cases. A big thank you to Amelie for the session.

We were very happy to support the Moments That Matter awards. ✨
LDN Eats made and served delicious canapes. And Laurence from our community team presented an award.

The event celebrates volunteers in the community. It is run by by Marble Arch BID and took place at the Victory Services Club.

Well done to the LDN Eats squad for the great food and to everyone who won an award! 🏆

We love to see Amita's fantastic art.

Amita held an exhibition of her work in central London last year. These pieces look similar to some of her work for that, but also something fresh and new.

Thanks for sharing ActionSpace.

Damani is the father of an autistic young boy. He came to our Family Service when his son was 2 years old. He thanked everyone who took part in our Dragon Boat race, fundraised and donated to our Family Service - helping families just like his.
