Blair Thomson a.k.a. Antiself is a DJ and Producer from Devon, UK. He started collecting music in his teens where his taste was heavily influenced by records that his parents had collected over many years. These ranged from reggae to funk, soul and disco. Blair spent many weekends as a teenager digging through piles of vinyl in his local town of Bournemouth trying to find tracks that sounded futuristic, eventually discovering a firm favourite in the high energy, fast paced and warping other-worldly sounds of drum & bass.

In 2012 Blair moved to Birmingham. A move that was initially viewed with hesitancy but eventually embraced and became a new source of inspiration. He became a regular customer at nights such as ENTER, TRMNL, Cloak & Dagger, Coloré and House of God amongst others and was exposed to a huge range of quality international DJ’s. It was here that the harder edged sound that is so synonymous with the industrial city of Birmingham was brought to the forefront of his mind.

Blair is now focussing on his solo career under the alias Antiself and has had releases on Horizon, Filth Infatuated Digital and Digital mind. He is now self-releasing the majority of his music.

Polyrhythm aims to explore fresh new electronic music covering everything from Ambient to Jungle with a heavy focus on Techno and Electro.
