A 2am real-world test...

We don't often get to hear about the successes - when the technology works exactly as its supposed to. So it was great for us to hear exactly that this week!

We received a thank you from a client who's alarm was triggered at 2am, and the message got through, exactly as designed.

We're so glad the technology did its job. And that's why reliability will always be at the heart of our PSTN and GSM auto diallers.

Most alarm diallers are built around a single scenario. The AD06 4G GSM Auto Dialler was built around the reality that real-world installations are rarely that simple.

The AD06 features 6 separate trigger inputs, each of which can be connected to a completely different device - for example, an alarm control panel on input 1, a nurse call system on input 2, a flood sensor on input 3, an environmental monitor on input 4, and so on...

Each of those 6 inputs can be configured to dial out to a different set of up to 9 telephone numbers, send a different pre-recorded 10-second voice message, and deliver a different 32-digit SMS - all independently of each other.

That level of granularity matters. When a flood sensor triggers, you don't want the same response as when an intruder alarm fires. With the AD06, you can ensure the right people get the right message at the right time, every time.

People often ask about features, ranges, inputs and outputs.

Those things matter, but they're usually not what determines whether a system is successful in the long run.

The systems that earn trust are the ones that continue working year after year, integrate smoothly into existing installations, and perform consistently when they're actually needed.

That's why reliability, compliance and ease of installation sit behind everything we develop.

Over the years we’ve built relationships with manufacturers and suppliers across a range of industries, and we regularly help customers source off-the-shelf products that are difficult to find, overly expensive, or simply not available through the usual UK channels.

What matters to us is making sure the product is actually right for the job. That includes checking certifications are current and legitimate, making sure specifications line up properly, and handling the logistics side so customers aren’t left trying to navigate shipping issues or unclear paperwork themselves.

It’s not a service that suits absolutely everything (there are some product categories we deliberately stay away from, such as toys, clothing, ceramics and textiles) and depending on what’s required there can sometimes be minimum order quantities involved.

But for the right project, it can save a huge amount of time, uncertainty, and cost.

We love a challenge and with this scenario, we provided the perfect solution with no need to purchase a bespoke model from us and no MOQ.

Here it is, in a little more detail:

The customer had two separate buildings, each with a GSM dialler installed. What they wanted was for an event in Building One to trigger an output there, and send an SMS command to activate an output in Building Two.

In reality, our diallers weren’t originally designed to communicate with each other in that way, so the second unit wasn’t recognising the incoming SMS command from the first.
But it was a good idea. So instead of saying 'that’s not possible', we listened and we looked at how we could make it work.

After speaking with the customer in more detail, we added a programmable option, produced some samples, and let them test the setup in the real application. It worked exactly as they needed it to.

And the best part?

What started as a customer requirement has now become a standard programmable option within our GSM diallers going forward - with no need for a bespoke model, no minimum order quantities, and no real limit to how many units can be added into the chain.

Projects like this are always a good reminder that some of the best product improvements come directly from conversations with customers who are trying to solve real-world problems.

If you've got a specific requirement in mind, get in touch - we'd love to work with you to help solve it!

It’s easy to think of transmitters and receivers as fairly simple devices, but in practice they often become a small part of much larger systems where reliability and integration matter a great deal.

Different projects need different ranges, different relay configurations, different levels of control, and often slightly different ways of integrating into whatever equipment is already on site. In many cases, reliability matters far more than complexity. People want something that works consistently, is easy to configure, and doesn’t create unnecessary maintenance headaches six months later.

That’s generally where the PT Series tends to fit well.

From gate control and access systems through to industrial signalling, remote switching, environmental monitoring, and bespoke integrations where running cabling simply isn’t practical, our PT Series provide the solution.

In practice most issues we see with autodiallers don’t come from the hardware but rather from how it’s installed, configured, and maintained over time.

We’ve seen perfectly good systems underperform simply because signal strength wasn’t properly checked at the start, or because inputs were configured in a way that made nuisance alarms more likely.

Equally, the better installations tend to have a few things in common. Someone has taken the time to test properly, document what’s been done, and make use of features like periodic test calls rather than treating commissioning as a one-off task.

It’s not complicated, but it does require a bit of care. And it makes a noticeable difference over the life of the system.

If you're having problems installing your auto-dialler, or want help with an existing one, please get in touch and our expert team will do our best to help.
