Recently completed tarmac resurfacing works with excavation to a depth of 250mm. A nonwoven geotextile membrane was installed directly over the subsoil, followed by 150mm of Type 3 permeable sub-base to ensure excellent drainage and ground stability.
The surface build-up consisted of a 60mm depth layer of 35mm permeable binder course, finished with 40mm depth of 10mm open-graded tarmac, delivering a robust, free-draining, and long-lasting surface.
