Humanity is currently on a mass-migration from the physical world to the digital world, from the land of nature to the land of virtuality, from human to machine.
One of the most pressing of all our self-imposed existential threats is the digital takeover of human consciousness.
How far along are you in this process?

No creation can be separate from its creator!
_the painter is in the canvas,
_the photographer revealed in the image, _the individuals form their society,
_ideals set forth the ideology.
There are no two ways about it. And so it is true for AI, for the coder is in the code.
What predictions, if any, can be made about the future of AI, given what we know of its human creators?

U.S. Ambassador to the U.K. Jane D. Hartley met with John Mack, artist, author and founder of Life Calling, a non-profit which works to preserve our humanity in the Digital Age, on the opening morning of the London Design Biennale today, where his interactive exhibition speaks to the rising tide of AI and the replacement of nature by virtuality.
John Mack and Life Calling's exhibition entitled A Species Between Worlds: Our Nature, Our Screens, is the centrepiece of the USA Pavilion endorsed by the U.S. Embassy and supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies at the month-long design event at Somerset House, the Strand, London, and contains images taken from across many US National Parks.
Visitors will be immersed in various worlds, where Mack’s real-world images from over 45 US National Parks are juxtaposed with a custom augmented reality (AR) app, showing the growing disconnect between the reality around us and the 'reality' as shown on our smartphones.
Life Calling will also be hosting a thought forum Remapping our Nature in the Digital Age at the Biennale on 13 June convening leaders across academia, arts and culture, business and technology.

“Humans are a species between worlds,” Mack says. “Smartphones, designed to be tools, have become our reality — and with every swipe, tap and pinch, our humanity is being exported, little by little.
A boutique version of A Species Between Worlds is in the USA Pavilion at London Design Biennale, Somerset House, London. 1 – 25 June | londondesignbiennale.com
