Hackney Giving

It was a lovely visit to today and see their project supporting young people and the community with the cost of living, which is funded through Hackney Giving. It is always satisfying to learn about the great work organisations are doing for the community.

We also visited Betaminds project, drop-in hub where elderly and young people come together to socialise. during our visit, we had a chance to meet the bes domino player ☺️ Betaminds received funding through Hackney Giving, and it was truly inspiring to see the valuable work they are doing for the community.

We visited AMURT , To see their project helping people with the cost of living, which was partly funded through Hackney Giving. It was amazing to see the preparation of food for the community they serve and distribute.
Great work team, keep it up!

Today we went to an event giving people support and advice about the cost of living held by The Cost of Living Project, in partnership with CoCreate Hackney and The Community Closet. “ Some of which were funded by Hackney Giving previously.

Thank you Hackney! Donations to our Cost of Living appeal have now passed £25,000. That money goes towards Hackney projects supporting people with food or to pay their bills. We're grateful to every single person and company that's donated and thank you all.

It was a delight to be at a packed house at Hackney CVS for the Meet the Funders event today.
We had great fun meeting the many voluntary and community sector organisations from Hackney and the City of London.

Thanks also to the other participating funders.

Hackney Giving Cost of Living programme is open for applications

The cost of living is continuing to cause problems for many people. We are inviting applications from not-for-profit groups working to support people in Hackney and/or the City of London with the cost of living in winter 2025.

Out to visit Hackney Night Shelter this morning. They provide shelter and support for homeless people, helping them to move on to longer term accommodation.

Hackney Giving recently funded them through our Cost of Living programme, to provide breakfasts and evening meals for their guests, and it was good to learn more about the ways they support people.

Hackney Night Shelter has places available in the Run Shoreditch 10K on 21st September 2025. If you'd like to run for them, get in touch to secure a place: [email protected]

VCSquared collaboration meeting

Join us for our next VCSquared collaboration meeting at the Golden Lane Community Centre.

The first half of the session will be networking and the second half will focus on digital inclusion and artificial intelligence (AI).
