Before any work starts, I define the end result—what the finished project needs to look like in terms of quality, budget, and timeline. Then, I work backwards to map out the exact steps needed to get there efficiently.
For example, if the goal is to complete a full property renovation in 12 weeks, I don’t just start tearing things apart. Instead, I:
1️⃣ Set the final vision—materials, finishes, regulations, and client expectations.
2️⃣ Create a timeline—working backwards from the deadline to schedule trades in the right order.
3️⃣ Identify critical dependencies—structural work before first fix, first fix before plastering, and so on.
4️⃣ Optimize logistics—ensuring materials arrive just in time to avoid delays.
5️⃣ Proactively troubleshoot—anticipating potential bottlenecks and planning solutions in advance.
