Food For Thought
Jesus was hungry after fasting for forty days, and then the devil came to tempt Him (Matthew 4:2–3). The Bible doesn’t say who told the devil that Jesus was hungry, but it is clear that the enemy often targets moments of weakness. Just as the devil recognized Jesus’ physical need, he also recognizes our vulnerable moments and seeks to exploit them (1 Peter 5:8).
This teaches us that hunger or any physical or emotional need should never make us lose focus on God or cause us to trade away what is precious. Even though Jesus was hungry, He never allowed His hunger to take the place of God’s Word in His life. Instead, He responded, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God’” (Matthew 4:4).
This stands in contrast to Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal when he was famished (Genesis 25:29–34; Hebrews 12:16–17).
The devil knows when you are “hungry” whether physically, spiritually, or emotionally. That is why we must remain steadfast and never let “the Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night” (Joshua 1:8). In doing so, we can respond to temptation with God’s truth and keep our spiritual inheritance secure.

Advantage of Being His Sheep
Date: 4th of March 2024
Text: Matt 15:21-28
The woman in today's bible reading was so desperate to receive help from Jesus because her daughter was demon-possessed, but Jesus didn't pay any attention to all her pleas, even His disciples had to tell Him that at least if you're not going to answer her you can do well to chase her away (V.23). The reason Jesus didn't answer her was not that He could not meet the need of the woman, but rather it was because Jesus was not sent to her. (V.24).
Jesus made it known to her that he was only sent to the "Lost Sheep". Now the question is who are His sheep?
His Sheep are does who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, those who have already identified with Him, while the lost sheep are the backsliders or the people who got their attention away from God. *Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”* (Lk 19:9-19). The moment Jesus said this the bible records that the woman worshiped Him *"Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!”* This means that the woman came to submit to Jesus and said Lord help me. Then Jesus still replies to her by saying *“It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”*
But the woman responded by referring to Him as master “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their MASTERS' table.”
The woman agreed that her salvation might still be very new and she might not have yet gained the Masters' trust, but nonetheless, there is a grace for identifying with Jesus and the rest is history.
The Sheep according to that bible passage are the children of God who are constantly in a relationship with him *"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:"* (Jh10:27)
While the lost sheep are the ones who grew up in faith
as children of God but backslide along the line. *"Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says the LORD Almighty."*
The dog is those still living a dirty life, a sinful life, a life without any reference for God *"Formerly when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods."* (Gal 4:8)
If you belong to the Lost Sheep, God is calling you back today and you need to rededicate your life back to him, if you consider yourself not having any relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, why don't you say this simple prayer Lord Jesus come into my life and be my personal Lord and Savior, accept me as your own from now on and forever. Amen 🙌.
I pray God will continue to hold us till the end and we will not fall by the way, His grace will be sufficient for us in Jesus' Name Amen 🙏🏾.

*When The Brook Dried*
Date: *26/02/2024*
Text: *I Kings 17:7 NKJV*"*And it happened after a while that the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land*".
I hope we all know the full story surrounding today's bible reading. It was by God's command that Elijah went to the brook after he proclaimed that there wouldn't be rain for three years (V. 3), he didn't go there on his own accord. God led him there and supplied all his basic needs for that moment and after some time it was recorded that the brooks dried up (V. 7).
If you're thinking like me, you might wonder how the resources or God's supply could dried up. Or is it possible for God to run out of supply? I know the bible records that the reason the brook dried up was that "there had no rain in the land", but could this truly be the reason though? At least thinking about the nature of God we all know, I mean, the God that rains manna in the desert (Ex 16:4) or the God that promises to bring water out in the desert (Is 41:18)? Is it that same God that rain will now hinder His supplies and provisions for His children?
When the brook dried God had already made another provision to meet the need of Elijah. Sometimes as human beings when one door closes we sit back and start wailing and still trying so had to force the door open again, rather than focus and pay attention to God for the next direction, all those crying and worrying only hindered us from hearing from God for the next step of action we were meant to take.
When the brook dried up, God had already provided another flow of supply in the house of a widow (v.9) where He will continue to meet the need of Elijah, all Elijah has to do is to locate the window.
The good thing about Elijah is that he didn't allow the present state of the woman to deny him of God's promise and make him doubt God, because he could have easily doubted God when he saw the financial state of the woman, but rather he ignored what was in front of him and hold on to the Word of God that has been spoken ahead of him.
Don't allow the looks of things you're facing now to deter your faith from what God has said concerning your life. What is it that God has promised to do for you? The promise could be from the mouth of a man of God, it could be through your dream just like Joseph experienced or it could even be a written Word of God in the bible. Just keep trusting God.
If we remember, I said earlier that rain could not hinder the flow of God's supply, but when a brook is dried up it is only meant for advancement.
"For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’ ”
I'm sure we can still see that even the supply of the flour and the jar of oil was still in the absence of rain.
Did you just relocate to another country and your moving was based on the leading of God? or is the business that was based on the leading of God, no longer doing well? Or para venture you lost that job you once testified about as God given job, just know that God has already made another flow for you elsewhere.
I pray God did not allow Elijah to struggle before he located the window of his flow of supply, the same God will help us to locate the next flow of His blessing and provision for our life in Jesus' Name.

*The Lord Provides in The Wilderness*
*Text: Deuteronomy 29:3-5*
*Date: 5th of February 2024*
[3] You saw the terrible plagues, the miracles, and the great wonders that the Lord performed. [4] But to this very day, he has not let you understand what you have experienced. [5] For forty years the Lord led you through the desert, and your clothes and sandals never wore out.
I'm sure some of us are familiar with our Bible reading today. We all remember the story of the Israelites when they journeyed through the Wilderness to the promised land, God already knows their strength and weaknesses, hence the reason he chose their journey through the Wilderness, even when there was a shorter way to the promised land.
[17] When the king of Egypt let the people go, God did not take them by the road that goes up the coast to Philistia, although it was the shortest way. God thought, “I do not want the people to change their minds and return to Egypt when they see that they are going to have to fight.” [18] Instead, he led them in a roundabout way through the desert toward the Red Sea. The Israelites were armed for battle. (Exodus 13:17-18 GNT).
And God was right though, you can imagine, that God's reason for taking them through the Wilderness was that they might change their mind if the Philistines faced them in a war and returned to Egypt, here is the catch, they don't even have to face with any war before they started to change their mind, the first thing they had to face was hunger
[3] and said to them, “We wish that the Lord had killed us in Egypt. There we could at least sit down and eat meat and as much other food as we wanted. But you have brought us out into this desert to starve us all to death.” (Exodus 16:3 GNT). Even after God gave them Manner to eat from heaven they still complained that they wanted meat (Num 11:4-5) and every time they complained they always referred back to Egypt.
Back to our Bible reading for today, we can see that throughout their time in the wilderness, God sustained them, and their clothes and sandals never wore out (Vs:5)
I want you to know that every journey to a promised land always comes with a wilderness experience, a voice had to cry from the Wilderness to prepare the way of our Lord Jesus Christ (Jh 1:23). Jesus didn't start His ministry until after he had wilderness experience (Matt 4:1) it is after the experience that he started He started to preach in (Vs 17)
I want you to know that no matter what you might be going through now might be your own wilderness experience and there is always God's provision for such a phase.
My prayer for you today is that in whatever you might be facing now God will be sufficient for you, and see you through this phase in your life and you shall come out strong in Jesus' Name. Amen 🙌

Listen closely! The Lord leads a member to receive ministry from various sources. They receive the element they need for their spir-itual sustenance. They don’t occupy a seat in a ministry because they’re sold out for the vision. They occupy it to get a need met.

If the enemy can’t distract you from God’s work, He will push you beyond what God intended. Both attacks accomplish the same goal: to divert you from your vision.

Shortly before dawn, Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said.
The Supernatural
When the disciples of Jesus saw Him walking on the water they thought it was a ghost, why? because they've never seen Jesus in that form before.
When supernatural take place in our lives and people can't explain or fathom how they happen, then they tend to come up with different sorts of assumptions. If it financial breakthrough, they might assume it is either you are a fraudster or a ritualist, and if it is a lady people say she's into prostitution, and if you're a pastor with a fast-growing church, they might say you're working with unclean spirit just like the way they accused the Jesus.
When the supernatural takes place it mostly comes with controversy, if your miracle looks normal it is not supernatural.
