Thirteen years is a long time to work with anyone.
The relationships that last that long aren't built on SLAs and ticket response times. They're built on trust that comes from showing up consistently, speaking plainly, and understanding a business well enough to know what it needs before it asks.
That's what we've always tried to be. Not the most technical voice in the room. The most useful one.
That kind of partnership doesn't happen by accident. It's built deliberately, from day one.

Most SMEs sign a managed IT contract and have no idea what good actually looks like.
They get a monthly report. Tickets closed. Response times. SLA compliance percentages. It looks comprehensive. It's largely meaningless.
Here's the problem: tickets closed tells you how busy your MSP has been. It says nothing about whether your IT environment is getting better, more secure, or better aligned to how your business operates.
Swipe to see what to look for, what to ask, and what the answers tell you.
We don't measure success by how many tickets we close. We measure it by how many we prevent. If that's the stance you want in an MSP, get in touch.

Most businesses have backups. Very few test them.
There's a significant difference. An untested backup is an assumption, which is exactly what attackers rely on.
The average ransomware recovery in 2025 took 24 days and cost UK organisations an average of $2.58 million. The businesses that got through it fastest had one thing in common: tested, immutable backups that couldn't be tampered with even after an attacker gained access.
Testing a backup takes an afternoon. Finding out it doesn't work during a live incident takes considerably longer.
If you can't remember the last time your backups were tested, that's the answer.
We're fixing things before you notice anything's wrong.

Cyber insurance applications in 2026 look nothing like they did three years ago.
In 2019, you answered a 10-question form and got covered. Now, underwriters are running technical audits and declining businesses that can't evidence their controls.
The good news: Cyber Essentials maps directly to almost everything on this list. UK businesses that get certified typically qualify for 5–15% premium discounts from their insurer. And for businesses with under £20m turnover, Cyber Essentials certification automatically includes £25,000 of cyber liability cover at no additional cost.
We can get your business certified.

£7,500 a year is the average. For some businesses, it's significantly more.
And that figure only captures the downtime itself — the hours systems were offline, the revenue that didn't happen. It doesn't count the staff time spent working around broken tools, the client's confidence that quietly erodes, or the opportunities that went elsewhere while your team was firefighting.
The businesses that keep that number low aren't lucky. They've got IT infrastructure that's monitored, maintained, and built to prevent problems before they surface.
Most IT support fixes things when they break. That's not the same thing.
Bad IT is costing your business more than it's showing up on any invoice. We'll show you where.

M365 Copilot has quietly become one of the most practical AI tools available to SMEs. Not because it's revolutionary, but because it works inside software your team is already using every day.
No new platform to learn. No separate login. It's in Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and it responds to plain English.
But there's a catch that most businesses hit: Copilot is only as useful as the M365 environment underneath it. Outdated licences, poorly configured permissions, and disorganised data all limit what it can do. The businesses getting the most out of it aren't just the ones who switched it on. They're the ones who got their environment right first.
Getting the most out of Copilot starts with getting your M365 environment right. We help you build it.

This business was scaling fast, but its IT was falling behind.
Issues weren't being resolved. Response times were slow. The board had no visibility over IT decisions or spending. The gap between where their infrastructure was and where the business needed it to be kept widening with every stage of growth.
What they needed wasn't just faster support. It was an IT partner who understood that technology should enable growth. Not become a barrier to it.
Microbyte stepped in and became exactly that.
Growing businesses need IT that grows with them. It’s not complicated when you have Microbyte in your corner. Check the link in the comments.

No one thinks their team is the problem. Then they run a phishing simulation.
KnowBe4's 2025 benchmarking report (based on 67.7 million simulated phishing tests across 62,400 organisations) found that 33% of employees interact with a phishing simulation before any training takes place.
That's not a reflection on your people. It's a reflection on how convincing modern phishing attacks have become. AI has made them faster, more personalised, and harder to spot.
The good news: training works. Measurably. 86% reduction in susceptibility after 12 months. Over 40% in the first 90 days alone.
Your people are a layer of your security stack. Microbyte can help you train them like it.

Your IT invoice tells you almost nothing about what IT actually costs your business.
The real number is scattered across five categories that most businesses never look at together.
