Imagine a simple and fun way to teach children phonics - while simultaneously experiencing the health and wellbeing benefits of children’s yoga?

After completing children’s yoga teacher training I became aware of the potential to combine yoga and education to help children develop and learn in a fun and balanced way.

Bringing together my primary school and children’s yoga teacher training I spent 9 months designing yoga cards to teach children phonics. I’ve designed 69 yoga phonic cards each using my own unique Yogi Bear character! 🐻

Each card has a sound, a pose and an activity.

These unique cards introduce yoga, mindfulness, balance and breath work. All of which have a huge positive effect on children; giving them strategies to deal with stress, anxiety and worries; all while teaching phonics!

Each card comes with easy to follow instructions on one side - with poses and sounds for children to follow on the other. No yoga or teaching experience is necessary - just follow the cards. Once the children are familiar with them they can even lead themselves!

They can be used by parents, carers, teachers, teaching assistants, yoga teachers, childminders, nannies...anyone involved in the care and education of children!

My challenge; This is a brand new concept and enterprise and to make this possible I need to achieve a minimum order volume. So...before I press go with my printers; I need to guarantee that I have 100 committed people interested!

The introductory price per pack is : £19.99. This includes the full set of phonic sounds.

So wonderful to get a call last week from a lovely lady who commissioned 5 pebble frames for Christmas! Loved that she was able to really specify what she wanted and that I could work with her to get the end results! Lots of playing around with positioning and ideas! Finally done in time for Christmas!!

A new baby arrived in a house this week and so someone got in touch to order a personalised frame. Here’s what I’ve done. Simple but complete. We discussed what they wanted in terms of names, stones and hearts. It’s a popular layout! We need to start thinking about Christmas so if you have any friends or family you’d like to get a frame for, please get in touch! Especially now both boys at school and I’ve more time on my hands!!

While I have been finding it hard to focus on creating, some people are focused! Thanks so much for making all these wonderful creations! Bags, key rings, tooth fairy pillows, wine bag! has kindly made and donated these to the raffle/auction at the Charity Quiz we run in memory of our son. I have put away for when we can hold the next quiz!🤞
