This research will make it easier to test new and promising treatments for a range of conditions including cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's Disease and rare diseases. By improving clinical trial design we can save the millions that are wasted every year from trials that fail to recruit enough to go ahead or don't recruit representative populations. We can also test more promising treatments that could save and improve lives.
