Was sorry to hear of synthpop pioneer and music producer Dave Ball’s death yesterday. Songs like Tainted Love and Torch were staples of the early 80s that turned me onto synths and electronic music in the first place.

I’ve accompanied this with Texas Cowboy’s by The Grid (Ball & Norris) as I also loved this track in the 90s!

Another splendid night at the Fox & Firkin, Lewisham to see . Bloody hot in there, but a great set of pounding techno!

Splendid afternoon at the this afternoon. Arrived a bit late, but caught Spike Edney's very entertaining talk (Queen). Definitely need a return visit to see all the amazing instruments they have. Not just all the gear, but earlier automatic players - player pianos, Wurlitzer, optigan, orchestron, etc, etc. Amazing place and only 5 mins from Kew Bridge station. You must go!

Really enjoyed yesterday’s screening of Electronic Body Movie at the Rio cinema. Great insight into bands like Front 242, DAF Nitzer Ebb, and their influences. Nice to have the director present for Q&A afterwards too.

Note the last pic in the sequence, was pleased to have the option of the Bus 242 home 😊
