This is how it was meant to be. The object stood outdoors for almost a year, moving through three different locations. Wind, rain, dust, temperature shifts, insects, birds, and even squirrels became co-authors. The epoxy layer fractured, opening up a cracks, while the cement slowly began to turn into sand.
I don’t work with themes of decay or death, but rather with notions of temporality and memory. For me, fragility is a consequence of life’s activity. “Dust” and “webs” are my memories.
