Happy European Babywearing Week 2025!!!

Let’s celebrate with a lovely sunny Sling Walk and Picnic in Calderstones park.
Thursday 8th May 10:30am meeting at the front of Mansion House.

Then we will settle for our picnic around 11:30 (ish) near the play park.

EVERYONE is welcome, you may still carry babies, you may be new to slings and carrier’s, you may no longer have kids young enough to babywear! You may just be an amazing supporter or friend of ours?
Old customer, new customer, never been a customer?
Whoever you are we’d love your company.

Picture is me and my youngest little Robin who is now 2 so you can easily recognise and us.

Also some fab bargains coming this week to raise some funds for the library and move on old stock so watch this space.

First of the month! And time to your trusty washing machine 💛

Your machine may have a cleaning programme that reminds you already, but if it doesn’t, you should try and clean your machine regularly - our monthly reminders can help!

Luckily, cleaning a washing machine is not too hard. Just set it on a hot, empty wash with no detergent and off you go! If you have a little bit of time, you can wipe down the seals and the detergent drawer, and if you’re feeling extravagant you could even clean out the filter!

Are you pregnant and considering using washable nappies? Antenatal Cloth Nappy Workshops are a fully funded collaboration between and to help you find out more about getting started with reusable nappies when your baby arrives.

We’ll take a look at the different styles and materials available, practice getting a good fit (on baby dolls) and talk about washing and drying routines. You can take a look at what’s in our Newborn Nappy Kits and reserve one if you’d like to.

This means we have loads of nappies and inserts to practically give away! So if you're in the market for good quality, secondhand nappies, get in touch 👋

You’ll be able to have a play with one of our Newborn Nappy hire kits, look at different types of cloth nappies and how to use them and chat about any questions you have whether it’s how to even change a nappy in the first place? Want to use cloth nappies but put off by the upfront cost?

We’ve been having a clear out and have a limited number of complete starter kits to give away for Free (or for a small donation towards the library if you’d prefer a more even exchange)

These are primarily made up of pocket nappies, with a few other kinds mixed in. Kits will each contain 15 nappies.
