We’ve completed our first Gateway 2 submission for a High Rise Building (HRB) this week! The design for the 2 towers, Abbey View and Munden View, owned by Housing Association Watford Community Housing Trust, includes the Retrofit of the existing structure to provide a continuous thermal envelope to all flats. Heating is to be provided by GSHP system that serves both towers and other low rise blocks nearby.

The Gateway 2 process is complex but we hope to be on site by the end of the year.

We were shortlisted for a few awards last night for individual brilliance, but we were delighted to walk away with the award for Retrofit Assessment and Coordination Services, recognition of the hard work and dedication of the full team!

Some celebrated EastEnders’ 40th anniversary episode last week, at CT, we celebrated finally receiving planning approval on Fassett Square for Clarion Housing Group. 8 months in the making, to be granted the go ahead on the planned retrofit work we are looking to carry out on the inspiration for Albert Square, where the pilot episode was filmed.

A massive achievement for the entire team and a long time coming.

Started the new year the best way we could think of, with CTS’s own Winter school 🎿 A great long weekend with friends discussing all things Archicad, BIM and Innovation whilst being on the slopes; keep your eyes peeled for what’s to come 👀
