πŸ’™ Our Carers Week outreach may be over, but the conversation doesn’t stop here.

This week we’ve been across Liverpool helping hidden carers recognise the support available to them.

If you’ve ever found yourself saying:

β€œI just help out…”

You might be a carer too.

This Carers Week, we're celebrating the people who care in ways they might not even recognise. ❀️

At Local Solutions' Supported Lodgings service, our Householders provide a safe and supportive home for young people aged 16 to 21 who are taking their first steps towards independent living across Liverpool, Sefton, Wirral, Knowsley and Flintshire.

It's more than offering a spare room. It's being there to listen, encourage, guide and support a young person as they build confidence and learn essential life skills.

Many of our Householders don't think of themselves as carers, but the impact they have on a young person's life can be truly life-changing.

This Carers Week, we're saying thank you to our incredible householders and everyone who helps others feel safe, supported and valued.

If you've ever thought about making a difference to a young person's future, Supported Lodgings could be for you.

πŸ’™ It's Thursday of Carers Week and we're continuing our mission to help Liverpool's hidden carers recognise the support available to them.

Today, you can find the Liverpool Carers Centre team at:

πŸ“ Asda Breck Road | 10am–7pm
πŸ“ Oakvale Surgery | 9am–1pm

Many people don't realise they're carers. They simply see themselves as a husband, wife, son, daughter, friend or neighbour doing what needs to be done.

If you regularly support someone because of illness, disability, mental health challenges or age, you may be an unpaid carer.

Come and say hello, pick up information and find out more about the support available through Liverpool Carers Centre.

πŸ’™ It's Thursday of Carers Week and we're still out across Liverpool helping hidden carers recognise the support available to them.

Every day, thousands of people across our city provide unpaid care for someone they love. They help with appointments, medication, shopping, emotional support and countless other tasks, often without ever thinking of themselves as carers.

They say:

"I just check in on my mum."

"I just help my partner when they need me."

"I just make sure they're okay."

But those everyday acts can make you a carer, and support is available.

Today, you can find the Liverpool Carers Centre team at:

πŸ“ Oakvale Surgery | 9am–1pm
πŸ“ Asda Breck Road | 10am–7pm

If you've ever wondered whether you're a carer, come and have a chat with us. We're here to listen, answer questions and help you access support.

Because carers deserve support too.
