💉 FREE FLU VACCINATIONS FOR CARERS AND SOCIAL CARE WORKERS

You may be eligible for a free NHS flu vaccination if you are:

✅ An unpaid carer - this means you regularly care for a child, partner, parent, relative or friend who relies on your support

✅ A frontline social care worker - including people working for a registered homecare or domiciliary care provider

You do not need to receive Carer’s Allowance to qualify as an unpaid carer.

You can get your vaccination through your GP or a participating pharmacy. Eligible adults can also check and book online through the NHS website 👇

Thousands of households across England are being selected at random and invited to have their say on the future of adult social care 🗣️

You don’t need any experience or knowledge of social care to take part.

Only people living at an address that receives a letter can register, so if one lands through your door, please don’t ignore it - registration closes on Sunday 11th October!

It’s Pension Awareness Week - but do you actually know what State Pension you’re on track to receive? 💷

Almost 7 million adults in the UK have never checked their forecast. With the State Pension unlikely to cover everything most people will need in retirement, it’s important to know exactly where you stand.

Checking your forecast will show you:

✅ How much State Pension you could receive
✅ The age you’re expected to receive it
✅ Your National Insurance record
✅ Whether you have any gaps in your contributions
✅ Whether you may be able to increase the amount you receive

It only takes a few minutes:

1️⃣ Visit www.gov.uk/check-state-pension
2️⃣ Click ‘Start now’
3️⃣ Sign in, or create your sign-in details
4️⃣ View your personal forecast and National Insurance record

You can also check through the free HMRC app by selecting ‘State Pension’.

It might feel like something that can wait - but the sooner you know what you’re working with, the more time you have to plan.

As always September means the Labour Party conference 26-30 September 2026. Delegates hire our equipment during this time, each year and book separately.

If you also have unrelated plans for that week, we would advise you to book, by telephoning our team on 0151 707 0877, to avoid disappointment and we will do our best to accommodate your needs, as always.

Please note that if you have never hired equipment from Shopmobility before that all new customers must bring 2 forms of identification with them on their first visit to our shop. One should be as proof of current address and the other should be photographic. The identification will be photocopied. All new customers must have a short "driving test" on our premises in line with Health and Safety regulations.

Similarly, if your registration card has expired (it lasts for 12 months only), please bring identification with you, if you plan to hire our equipment.

Photographic - bus pass or passport or driving license.
Current address - driving license (some driving licenses do not have an address on them, please check), or prescription or letter or utility bill.
