We've got our pals down from Fell Brewery a long overdue collab

The eagle-eyed among you will spot whole leaf hops in the kettle here, which suggests we're doing something trad, or are we? You'll have to watch this space to find out!

It's set to be glorious next week so bob on over to Bootle for some brewery fresh beer, awesome scran from Kwok Wing Foods tunes and chill vibes in the sunshine.

We'll also have Mikkeller Running Club Liverpool us once again so if you fancy getting your running kicks on, do join!

Fresh out this week is the returning SOLO - a delicious American style IPA, with a tweaked recipe to bring it more in line with the gorgeous pales we’ve been putting out this year: paler, hoppier, and slightly dialled back on the bitterness, but still with a citrusy piney whack.

Inspired by the IPAs that got us into beer, this beer is bold and hoppy, taking a step back to a time when IPAs were heavy on bitterness as well as aroma hops.

This is a single malt, single hop brew to display the biscuit flavours of Maris Otter, as well as the different levels obtained from UK grown Cascade when used in bittering, whirlpool and dry-hopping stages. Cascade gives a slightly more subtle, well-rounded flavour to its American cousin, while still delivering an intense kick of orange, grapefruit and lychee.

Kindly gifted by our friends down the road at Neighbourhood Coffee we're now the proud owners of this little beauty!

Starting its life in the USA for bourbon, this oak cask made its way over to Wales where it held Dà Mhìle organic whisky for 8 years, before being used to infuse Neighbourhood's Brazilian coffee beans with those flavours and aromas in a special blend. (Which is available to buy from them now on their website and you should definitely go and do that.)

If you'd like a hint as to what Mike's thinking of doing with it, consider the pallet of speciality malts he's leaning on! 👀

When hop merchants Charles Faram approached about brewing a special beer with them to show off at the Craft Beer Expo alongside our pals at Black Lodge, it was a no brainer.

We’ve been itching to get our hands on some new development hop strains for ages now, and with his new beer we are showcasing Pink and Karma hops.

This combo offers a dynamic and vibrant display of stone fruit, citrus, and tropical notes with an undercurrent of piney dankness. An oat-laden body makes it effortlessly smooth drinking.
