What I saw vs what I painted ✨

As an abstract artist I get asked all the time ‘where do you get inspiration from’ and it truly is from the beauty of nature and the world around me! Whether it’s a beautiful flower I spot on an autumn stroll, a vibrant sunset on a summer’s evening or a single blossom tree in a crowd of ochre, inspiration is all around - you’ve just got to be looking for it 🌸☀️✨

Thank you to for the post inspiration, I absolutely love seeing the inspo behind an artist’s work, it really shows how we all see / interpret the world so differently and it’s amazing to get an glimpse into someone else’s mind 💕

The joys of May 🫶

Made extra special this year as it was my first birthday as a mum 🥹

My may glimmers included the sound of lapping waves, baby hands holding daisies, making time for quick floral sketches, nature bathing, blooming flowers, ice cold coffee, trying new recipes, eating the rainbow, discovering new baby knitwear brands, torrential downpours but it’s okay because you’ve got your raincoat, getting out the garden furniture, cute messages on coffee cups and sunrise walks 🌅 Not to forget the Colin the caterpillar cake we ate so quick we didn’t get chance to take a photo of 🐛🧚🏼‍♀️☀️🌊🎂🌸🫶☕️🌈🌿🌺

I may only have time for 1 minute pieces right now, but I’ll take that over not creating anything at all 🌷🫶✨

We were inundated with tulips when baby boy was born so I simply had to make time to capture them!! Both pieces were created in 1 minute, pastel on Khadi paper, drawn with mini me in tow 👶

These pieces will be going up in the nursery very soon🌷🌷🌷

Life lately 💕🍼🦋🌳🫶🎨✨

The last few weeks as a new mum have been a whirlwind to say the least! But it’s a beautiful & amazing time and I’m cherishing every moment with our baby boy 🥹
