George would say that was one of the first guitar records/ recordings that he had ever heard, and that was one of the reasons why he wanted to pick up and learn the guitar in the first place. George's dad, Harold, owned a few Jimmie Rodgers 78's there at 25 Upton Green.

Below is a picture of the 78 that we will have placed right in Harold and Louise's bedroom in the near future. **Note for all house guests- do not attempt to play this '78' vinyl on our stand-up turntable.**

How's this...? Paul Balmer (a very accomplished guitar "guru") playing a ( ) 'Hoffner President' guitar at 25 Upton Green in - alongside Quarrymen drummer Mr. Colin Hanton!

In the famous front room, playing the song "Guitar Boogie". According to Colin, this was the first song that George played to Colin after George had joined the band in early 1958!

Local Liverpool George Harrison tribute My Sweet George will be performing on the front stage of The Cavern Club this Saturday!

The band has performed here at 25 Upton Green on multiple occasions and also recruited our marketing and events organiser Jade Dyas on keyboard. If you're in Liverpool on Saturday, theyre on from 3:15pm, playing the music of George Harrison and the 1960s 🎶

Canada.... Brazil... Memphis, TN.... and many, many other places. 25 Upton Green gets lots of visitors and guests from all over. Just yesterday we had people from Tennessee (USA), and Brazil. Below we have a cool review from a fairly recent Airbnb guest from Canada.

Colin below mentions that staying at George's old home in Speke, is not cheap.... and that is generally true. It is not "cheap", and really not supposed to be the cheapest spot to stay in Liverpool. One wouldn't think it should be.
That said, pricing and rates vary quite a bit, and they can change day to day. So... worth checking out if you're a big Fab4 fan. 🙃
