Looking for a creative way to spend time this summer? We still have limited places available on our artist-led workshops at Boultham Park, Lincoln.

From lino printing and monoprinting to willow sculpture, needle felting, journalling, drawing and more, these friendly sessions are designed to support wellbeing, creativity and connection in a beautiful green setting. No experience is needed, and all materials are provided.

We've just had a planning meeting for our summer events.

* Our month of 'Making Summer' activities return on 19 June. This is an opportunity to try some new art techniques such as willow weaving, needle felting and lino printing amongst others. You can find out more about these at https://www.lumina.uk.com/event-details/making-summer-2026

* For the first time we will be attending the Heckington Show on 25 & 26 July - the biggest village fair in the country. We will be their celebrating all things developmentplus along with some activities to have a go at so please pop in and see us.

* On 22 August we will be holding our annual ZENfest event. This year we have brought it to Lincoln and will be at the Arboretum all day. This Volunteers’ Week, we’d like to give a special thank you to a volunteer who has recently started offering haircuts at Project Compass, our Rough Sleeper Advocacy Project.

A haircut is more than just a practical service – it can help someone feel refreshed, restore confidence, and remind people that they are valued and cared for.

By sharing their time and skills, this volunteer is already making a meaningful difference and supporting wellbeing in a simple but powerful way.

Volunteers’ Week – Thank You to Our Office Volunteer

This Volunteers’ Week, we want to say a special thank you to one of our dedicated volunteers who gives their time once a week in our office.

Their support behind the scenes helps with the day-to-day work that keeps things running and makes a real difference to our team and the people we support.

Volunteering is a wonderful way of giving back to the community, and we are so grateful for the time, commitment and kindness they bring each week.

Thank you for being part of what we do and for making a difference.

As the weather cools a little, it feels like the right time to share that developmentplus is an official Charity Partner for this years Lincoln Santa Fun Run which takes place on Sunday 13th December. This is a fabulous event, supporting local charities, and tickets are on sale NOW! Should you chose US as your nominated charity £10 of each adult ticket comes directly to the charity.

developmentplus is a Lincoln based charity supporting people to thrive, and not just survive through advocacy, mentoring and peer support group work. We support rough sleepers (Project Compass), ex-offenders and people where mental health is their biggest barrier preventing them from moving forward.
