Yesterday we celebrated and recognised the dedication, commitment and outstanding contribution of some of our colleagues who have reached significant long service milestones.

Thank you for the positive impact you make every day on our students, families and wider school community!

This week's Artist of the Week is Sierra in Year 7!

She has been creating more drawings at home that she has brought in to show Mr Drew. She was artist of the week a month ago but has since brought in more work, where she has practiced her composition, use of tone, line and detail in the form of manga.

Yesterday was day 1 of our Duke of Edinburgh Expedition!!🥾⛺
Everyone arrived safely at the campsite and cooked up their evening meal. We’re pleased to report that the weather stayed on side throughout the day, making for some fantastic walking conditions.
Last night, the groups unwound with a very competitive game of Uno and enjoyed some well-earned time with friends after a great first day on expedition.

Yesterday, Reception had a wonderful visit to Temple Newsam Farm. The children were full of enthusiasm as they explored the farm!

They also enjoyed spending time in the playground and finished with a picnic lunch! They even spotted the Arts Councils wellbeing stones which they placed at Temple Newsam earlier in the week!

Our Arts Council had a wonderful trip to Temple Newsam this week, where they carefully placed their finished wellbeing stones around our local community. It was lovely to see our Arts Council members take such pride in their creations and thoughtfully choose places in nature for them to be discovered and enjoyed by others. Each stone carries a positive message written by our pupils and we hope that those who find them experience a little moment of happiness, encouragement, and support.

The children in Primary TLC went on a school trip to the MENCAP Sensory Rooms. They really enjoyed interacting with each other and with key adults from school and home. The children (and the staff!) had a wonderful time!
