That’s why we’ve introduced Great British Summer Savings, so whatever is happening in the world, families can still enjoy time together this summer.
As Chancellor I will always back British companies to succeed.
That’s why I’ve announced £470m to help our ceramics and chemicals sector.

I want more families to enjoy time together without worrying about the next bill.
That’s why I’m making bus travel free for all kids aged 5-15 in England outside of London, and temporarily cutting VAT on a number of family activities this summer.
The VAT discount can be applied to:

I want every family to have fun this summer. That’s why I’m cutting VAT on children’s activities and meals with Great British Summer Savings.
I know the little joys in life matter- going for a family day out or meal. But rising costs can make this feel near impossible.
That’s why we have also announced free bus travel for 5-15 year olds in England over the summer, and extended the 5p cut in fuel duty.
I want everyone to enjoy the summer and have time for the little joys in life.
That’s why I’m introducing Great British Summer Savings. A brand new scheme to reduce VAT on children’s food and activities over the summer holidays☀️.

Good news for families - every child aged 5-15 in England will travel free on buses this summer, with unlimited journeys, no registration required, and no cost to families.
Our economic plan is the right one. Tackling the cost of living and building a stronger Britain.
We’re helping families go further for less this summer.
Kids aged 5 to 15 will get free bus travel across England this August.
We’ve agreed a new trade deal with the Gulf Cooperation Council, worth up to £3.7bn.
This builds on deals we’ve already agreed with the EU, India, and the U.S, opening trade for us around the world.
Britain is open for business.
