⛳️🌟 What a brilliant day we had on Sunday for our Junior Takeover Day!

It was fantastic to see so many young golfers out on the course enjoying themselves, making memories and showing exactly why the future of the game is in safe hands. 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

We were also joined by a couple of very popular special guests, who helped make the day even more memorable for everyone involved! 📸😊

Most importantly, thanks to the incredible support of our members, juniors, families and volunteers, the day raised well over £1,000 for Dreamflight – a fantastic charity that changes the lives of children with serious illnesses and disabilities.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered and helped make the day such a success. 👏

It's US Open week, the toughest test in professional golf, so we've taken a closer look at the closing six holes at Garforth Golf Club.

From the demanding Par 5 13th, with C**k Beck and Out of Bounds waiting to punish any mistake, to the challenging uphill 17th and the nerve-testing 18th played back towards the clubhouse, our finishing stretch asks plenty of questions of golfers of all abilities.

We were delighted to recently host the Yorkshire Rabbit Golf Association committee meeting here at Garforth Golf Club.

It's always pleasing to receive positive feedback from visiting golfers, and we were thrilled to receive a letter from The Secretary of YRGA which highlighted the hospitality, course presentation and overall experience which we provided to their group.

Some of the comments were:

- "The day was a complete success down, in small part, by the excellent work done by your staff members"
- "The hospitality shown by Garforth was exemplary"
- "The meals we received before and after golf were truly delicious"
- "The course was a great test for the committee members and the course was presented in excellent condition."

A special mention goes to Natasha, James and the team, who have made a fantastic start since joining the club and continue to provide excellent service to our members and visitors alike.

We're also grateful to everyone behind the scenes who helped make the day such a success, from our clubhouse team to those involved in preparing the course and organising the event.

Thank you to the Yorkshire Rabbits Golf Association for choosing Garforth Golf Club. We hope everyone enjoyed their visit and we look forward to welcoming them back again in the future.

What a fantastic day we had on Saturday for Tony's Captain's Day at Garforth Golf Club!

The weather certainly tested everyone early on, with a wet and windy start, but it wasn't long before spirits shone through and a brilliant day was enjoyed by all. ☔💨➡️☀️

The course was presented in fantastic condition and provided a superb challenge for the field throughout the day.

A huge congratulations to all of our prize winners, and thank you to everyone who played, supported the event and helped make the day such a success.

Most importantly, we raised plenty of money for Tony's two chosen charities for 2026:

It looks like it might be a windy and maybe wet one out there, but we're sure that won't stop everyone enjoying what promises to be a fantastic day of golf and fundraising.

Our opening hole sets the tone perfectly for your round at Garforth Golf Club. This short par 4 offers options from the very first tee shot.

For the shorter hitter, a well-placed drive down the left side of the fairway, avoiding the three strategically positioned bunkers, leaves a straightforward approach into a narrow green with challenging run-off areas on both sides.

Longer hitters may be tempted to take on the green from the tee. But with Out of Bounds lurking on the left and trees tightly guarding the right side of the green, the reward comes with plenty of risk.

Garforth members Jake Wallis continued his good form from America yesterday winning the pannalgolfclub Rosebowl! A fantastic feat, shooting 72,69 to win by 1 on a very wet day 🌧️

Jake now heads of to the British Amateur Championship at Hoylake next week, where we wish him the very best of luck!

Have you noticed something different about the fairways at Garforth Golf Club? 👀⛳️

We’ve started using a two-tone cutting style, creating the block look to our fairways while bringing some great benefits behind the scenes too.

This approach helps our greenkeeping team by reducing cutting time and lowering fuel costs — making course maintenance more efficient while still keeping the fairways looking their best.

Our admin is loving the new look… but we want to hear from you!
