Beef fat crisps.

Two of my favourite things. Crisps and beef fat.

And they aren’t even the star of the show on this magnificent dish.

Beef tartare, burnt aubergine, soy & seaweed cured egg yolk. Served with Stuzzi-made beef fat crisps.

Oohhh yes.

NEW SUNDAY MENU.

Believe it or not, despite what’s going on outside right now, it’s The Summer. Which signals the end of Sunday roasts for us here for the next few months.

BUT, it does mean, our Summer Sunday Grill menu is BACK!

We’ll have weekly blackboard specials, beautiful steaks & fresh fish all cooked over charcoal, complimented with some of our usual Stuzzi small plate bangers such as your favourite arancini and fresh pasta.

Starting this Sunday 14th June.

NEW BEER.

It may look like our trips to Italy are just a big jolly fuelled by booze in beautiful places. But important research is done on these trips.

We go there to be inspired. To taste and find new things to bring back and put on our menus, and be galvanized by the country we love so dearly.

So as well as finding some new and interesting food and wine as we often do on these trips, this time we found ourselves a new beer.

Raffo is a lager from the southern region of Puglia - the heel of Italy. This is their unfiltered version. It’s crisp, refreshing, and everything you’d want from an Italian lager.

So we WhatsApp’d some pictures to one of our Italian importers, and asked them to source and start importing it into the UK for us.

And after several weeks of waiting, it’s finally here. So if you see other venues now listing it, you know our research wasn’t in vain.

Come see us, and drink some Raffo, before George chins it all.

Raffo Lavorazione Grezza - ‘Da bere croccante ovvero ghiacciata, come vuole la tradizione Pugliese’ - To be drunk crispy or iced, as per the Apulian tradition

BACCALA

The history of baccala in Italy can be traced back as far as the 1400’s, and a Venetian merchants shipwrecked crew surviving off Norwegian fishermen’s supply of air dried stoccafisso.

Then its rise to popularity was heavily driven by the Catholic Chruch’s dietary calendar, as days where eating meat was forbidden, preserved salt cod would be the perfect alternative for necessary protein.

It is now a staple of many Italians diets across the whole country, and in some areas such as Venice or Vicenza, a component of one of the most important dishes of the region.

Beer battered and deep fried house cured salt cod, with marinated fennel, Isle of Wight tomatoes, and a saffron & almond cream.

On throughout June.

ARANCINI

We’ve sold thousands over the years in Stuzzi, as well as at pop ups, beer festivals, weddings and other catering events alike.

It’s definitely one of our ‘signature dishes’, even though it’s more than likely a different flavour every time you come.

This months arancini are pea, chilli, lemon and herb, stuffed with a goats cheese butter.

What arancini flavour has been your favourite over the years?
