We’re excited to be looking for a new person to join our small but brilliant team here at Comfizz in Leeds.

For more than 20 years, we’ve been helping people living with an ostomy regain comfort and confidence after life-changing surgery. Now we want to help even more people, and we need another great person to help us do it.

We’re recruiting for an Admin & Sales Operative, with a particular focus on processing patient referral orders and building relationships with stoma nurses.

Most weeks will involve around 3–4 days in our Leeds office and
1–2 days visiting nurses, although this will evolve with the role.

💷 Salary: £27,000–£30,000 depending on experience
📍 Location: LS14 5LN, Leeds
🕘 Hours:Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
🚗 UK driving licence required
📅 Interviews: 21st–23rd September
🎯 Expected start date: around 26th October

We’re particularly interested in finding someone who is warm, organised, caring and good with people. You’ll be comfortable talking to customers and healthcare professionals, enjoy administrative work, be confident using IT, have a genuine curiosity about learning new things, and be happy to be on the road 1-2 days per week.

Experience is useful, but we’re just as interested in finding someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.

As a small company, your contribution really matters. You won’t be a tiny cog in a huge organisation; you’ll become a key member of our team, with the freedom and encouragement to develop your role, suggest ideas, and help us improve what we do.

It all begins with Ernie, the toughest softy I know, my grandad 💚

We have always been a family business, but something you might not know is that before pivoting to medical support wear, Comfizz was a sports and leisure company. Founded in 1998 by husband and wife Nozar & Lorraine, it was recognised as one of the first brands to introduce performance base layers to the UK.

Skip ahead 6 years; after seeing her father Ernie go from a proud, outgoing man to feeling emotionally broken and insecure after temporary stoma surgery became permanent, Lorraine knew she had to find a solution. Using their elite athletic fabric knowledge and motivation to find a better quality of life for Ernie, they designed the first prototype.

The aim was to tackle Ernie’s biggest everyday hurdles: the heavy, dragging feeling of a filling pouch, uncomfortable waistbands rubbing against the stoma, and a shattered body image.

Skip ahead to today, and the family business now spans 3 generations, and continues to deliver that same athletic-grade comfort and quality, helping ostomates everywhere ditch the medical feel and reclaim their everyday confidence.
