Commercial installation completed recently for Platinum Stairlifts at their Keighley site ⚡️

This project involved relocating the supply for a waste compactor to a new area of the yard, which meant extending the existing SWA supply by around 50 metres, installing new containment and manufacturing a galvanised Unistrut frame for the new socket position.

Because the existing cable run was already fairly long, careful design, testing and protection requirements all had to be considered to ensure the installation remained fully compliant and operated safely.

Another tidy install completed for a repeat commercial customer 👍

This job came back off the back of previous work we previously carried out for them, which is always appreciated.

The works involved relocating the supply for a waste compactor to a different area of the yard. This meant extending the existing SWA supply by around 50 metres, installing new containment and manufacturing a galvanised Unistrut frame for the new socket position.

Because the existing cable run was already fairly long, careful design and testing was required to ensure the new addition still complied with the required disconnection times, Zs values and overall protection requirements.

Full rewire completed recently after originally attending to look at a couple of faulty light switches 🔧

Once we started looking into things properly it became clear the installation was in a much worse condition than first expected, so we advised the customer to have the property fully tested before deciding what route to take.

During the rewire we uncovered a lot of old joint boxes under floors and in the loft, poor workmanship from previous alterations and a badly burnt shower switch hidden away in a cupboard that was getting dangerously hot under load.

The customer ended up choosing us for the rewire and we managed to get the entire property fully rewired, tested and back up and running in under 4 days.

The property now has a completely new electrical installation throughout, along with a brand new consumer unit with modern protection designed to offer a far higher level of safety than the old installation.

The kitchen is due to be refurbished at a later date, so to help keep costs and damage down for now we kept disruption to a minimum and used some temporary surface trunking in areas rather than unnecessarily opening everything up twice.

Still a few final bits to return and finish once decorating is complete, but the property is now in a much safer condition and everything is fully live again 👍

The existing post had snapped clean in the middle, so a suitable replacement was sourced, quoted and installed, getting everything back up and working properly again.
