Garforth Poppy Appeal

A message from our Poppy Appeal Organiser for Garforth:

"I would just like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone in Garforth for your generous support of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal this year.

I am amazed and humbled by your donations you gave to support our armed forces past & present.
Together with my team of collectors and support from shops and businesses, we managed to raise £25,087.29 this year.

Lest We Forget

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Community Act of Remembrance this morning and to everyone who has donated to the Poppy Appeal so far this year.

We will still be in Tesco and Lidl tomorrow and Tuesday morning before Remembrance Day (Tuesday 11th) if anyone would still like to get a poppy and donate.

We have a very limited number of Leeds United and VE Day 80th Anniversary pins available in Tesco - act quickly or you will miss out!!

As ever, thank you to everyone for your support so far. It's been incredible to see everyone engaging with us and being so generous with their donations.

Remembrance Sunday is this Sunday (9th November). There will be a Remembrance service on Sunday, at 10:00, inside St. Mary's Church, before gathering outside the Cenotaph in Garforth Cemetery at 10:50am for the Community Act of Remembrance, at the back of St. Mary's Church. We hope to see you there.

Poppy Appeal 2025 is underway!

We are in Tesco, Lidl and the Garden Centre so come down and see us - we have 2025 pins available, with a minimum donation of £3 per pin.
