We have Kids Club sessions running in July before the summer holidays start, the dates are: Sat 4th July 10am-12
Sun 12th July 10am-12
These are great sessions to make new friends and learn about how to look after horses and have a ride. No experience necessary.
Sessions cost £35 Pony Club members, £40 for non members.

🦄Pony of the month 🦄

This week Frankie has been super happy even with the warmer weather!

One of our changing lives through horses students lunged Frankie which he really enjoys! ☺️

Later in the week he had a lovely bath to cool him off after working hard in his sessions 🧽🧽

This is Frankie’s final week as pony of the month we hope you’ve enjoyed following him along!

Chalky and Buster are definetly best of friends. They had a lovely ride out with staff yesterday then spent the rest of the day in field. 🥰

🦄Pony of the month 🦄

This week Frankie has been very busy with lots of community lessons! As well as RDA sessions we also run community lessons that Frankie is often part of and really enjoys!

This week he had a lovely rider take him for a short hack down the road then come back indoors for some trotting and skills! 🥕

He enjoyed his trotting as his rider was perfecting her rising trot, we also did some no stirrup work to work on rider position! 🐴

The rider enjoyed the lesson and gave Frankie a big cuddle to say thanks! 🥰

🦄pony of the month 🦄

This week Frankie had a friend of The Calvert stables come to visit for 2 days! They got super lucky with the weather both days and got a lovely fell ride 🐴

Frankie had an amazing time and smiled the whole way (he may or may not have had a snack on some fern to keep his energy up🙈)

It is super important for the horses to hack to new places to keep them interested in their work!

Today is the final day of volunteer week and we would like to take this chance to say a massive thank you to all of our volunteers! 🥰

What we do wouldn’t be possible without the help and support of our wonderful volunteers and we are so lucky to have them as part of our team🐴🐴

All of us at Calvert Stables are incredibly saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Neil Frame.
Neil was an amazing vet and a genuinely allround nice guy with a fantastic sense of humour. Neil was a great supporter of the work we do here and was always on hand to give advice about our horses health and welfare, we feel honoured to have worked with him.

Neil will be sorely missed in our community and our thoughts are very much with his family and friends at this time.

It is with immense sadness that we let all our friends and clients know that Neil Frame died suddenly this weekend. Neil was a husband, father, grandfather, friend and immensely dedicated vet. His passion for veterinary care was an inspiration to our team and was instrumental in the progression of our practice from premises in Angel Lane in 1979 to our current building. Neil always had his patient’s welfare at the forefront of his mind and was well known for forthright communication with owners when the recovery of his patients depended on it. He would be absolutely adamant that the vet work must continue, so we are open as usual but please understand if emotions are showing. Our thoughts are with Neil’s family. He will be greatly missed by us all.

🦄 pony of the month 🦄

Our next pony of the month is Frankie! He is a 14.1hh and 15 years old. He is a piebald cob. Frankie has a very cheeky personality and is very well loved on the yard by everybody!

He is a ride and drive cob and enjoys all aspects of his job. He takes many community lessons to help people develop with their riding and also enjoys lovely hacks out. You can always rely on Frankie to make you smile as he is such a lovely chap 🐴🐴

He is very excited for you to follow along his busy little life! 🥕

There's nothing more relaxing than watching the horses grazing in the evening. 🥰
