Ruby Moon (Moon & Daughter Ltd): One of the last outposts of alternative culture in High Wycombe. Be part of it. Our stock is fair traded whenever possible.

Ruby Moon is a small independant family business founded in 1998. We pride ourselves on our customer service, and friendly nature. Based in the top end of High Wycombe near the train station, we are Wycombe's best kept secret. The shop smells amazing, an aroma full of exotic incenses. It's a festival, a happy go lucky, wonderful eclectic mix of colour, sound and smell. Its definitely NOT Eden, or

A year. It's hard to believe.

A year on from closing the doors of Ruby Moon, and it still feels a little surreal.
We don’t miss the day-to-day of running the shop, but we do miss the community that filled it—the conversations, the connections, the sense of belonging that grew within those walls.

It’s been a strange year in many ways, learning to let go of one chapter while quietly finding our feet in the next.
Matt's health is much improved, and we’re settling into a different pace of life. There are plans for road trips, small adventures, and making the time to visit as many friends as we can—something the shop never quite allowed.

And in some ways, the spirit of Ruby Moon has found a new shape. Through Moon's Music, we’ve been hosting regular events, bringing people together again through shared sounds and stories. So far this year we’ve welcomed Jaz Delorean , Diz Undone, Jess Silk, and Matt Johnson—and it’s been really special to see familiar faces (and new ones) gathering in the same spirit.
Later this year, we are hosting Fraser Morgan at the wonderful B'Hive in the High Street on June 25th, and later still Dury Service on October 16th (ticket links below), and we’d love to see you there.

Thank you, as always, for being part of this journey—then and now.
The shop may be gone, but the community we built together still means everything to us.
With love,
Ruby Moon / Moon’s Music ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

How is everyone?
Since closing the shop, we’ve felt the absence of the community that grew around Ruby Moon just as much as the space itself. So under Moon’s Music, I’m really happy to be hosting a new, occasional series at Wycombe Arts Centre called Shared Sounds.
These events are about bringing people together again—finding common ground through music, stories, and shared experience. Each night is carefully curated, pairing socially aware artists with audiences who value connection as much as creativity.
The first Shared Sounds evening is Jaz Delorean on February 7th. Jaz is an itinerant musician living on a boat on the Oxford canal, and a long-time friend. We first met when his band Tankus played FrogFest in High Wycombe. Expect a soulful, story-rich night—songs of love, adventure, and life’s strange magic, with influences from Tom Waits and New Orleans jazz.
Our second event features Diz Undone (fka Dizraeli). I first saw Diz play in London and was instantly inspired—not just by his music, but by his values. From seed packets to offset his footprint, to thoughtfully uplifting support artists, his approach stayed with me. He’s a folk rapper and hip-hop poet from Bristol, and I’m genuinely thrilled to be hosting him on his intimate UK tour of small spaces.
If you’ve missed that sense of shared experience—of discovering something unexpected, together—this is for you.
Come and join us. Tickets are limited, and we’d love to see familiar faces back in the room. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/moons-music-38289321113
