As the summer sun is AWOL, I needed some crochet brightness to compensate.

These little fabric pictures are a great way to try out all of the stitches on your sewing machine.

How to make a flower chain.

This loom was marketed as a toy. This is my first go weaving with it. It took a bit of a while to set it up but then the actual weaving took about 30 minutes. It will probably get quicker as I get more used to it.
So, 1970s toy resurrected and making fabric.

Oh my goodness! After much fiddling and cajoling of bits of thread, thus dear little toy loom actually works.
The tension needs a little fettling and the weft threads are a little scrappy on the turns but it does weave. 😁

Uh, oh ... new side quest unlocked.

So, should I carry on making hexagons, or start to join them together?

Playing around with Amish style hexagons. So far, I am loving the lack of papers to cut out, baste, and then pull out.
