We’ve swapped espresso rivers for real waves, because for us salty swims = happy humans. Cold-water dips can help boost moods, sharpen the mind and give you that “I’m alive” buzz (plus bragging rights). Sea swims connect us to the planet we love — cleaner oceans, better future.
But please remember safety first! cold water is brilliant but serious — so go slow, acclimatise, and avoid swimming alone in cold water. We’ve joined the and love being in good company (especially when they break into song on Wednesday mornings).

#4 Boil only what you need, you're not making coffee for the 5,000!

#5 Chip in locally: join cleanups, tree-planting or climate groups — get your mates to join you and it'll make the job much easier.

Really good to see World Coffee Research extending trials to protect our favourite crop!

In 2025, WCR and our partners continued to nurture trial sites worldwide, testing both existing and new varieties. These sites help advance knowledge about how variety performance varies across environments and provide a testing ground to refine our breeding approach.

The International Multilocation Variety Trial (IMLVT) launched in 2015, as little more than an idea and some packets of seed: 11 breeding
programs agreed to share 31 high-performing arabica varieties for testing around the world. A decade later, we can see the trial’s significant impact, providing crucial information on coffee disease resistance, yields, genetic intelligence, and potential climate adaptation (as demonstrated by the CafeClima platform).

Meanwhile, precommercial F1 hybrid trials are now underway at 10 sites across Latin America. 10,000 F1 hybrid plantlets are now planted directly in farmers’ fields through member-led trials. The trials are a small-scale test-run of partnering with the private sector and will inform our future approach to variety deployment at scale.

🐝 It's World Bee Day and honestly? Bees deserve WAY more hype. 🌻

Think about it — 78% of flowering plants literally cannot cope without them. They're out there working harder than any of us on a Monday morning, and all they ask for in return is a few nice flowers and a sip of water. Rude of us not to help, really. Here's what your garden can do for our tiny stripy legends:

🌿 Grow lavender, foxglove, buddleia or wildflowers — bees go absolutely wild for them (in the best way)
🏨 Pop up a bee hotel in a sunny spot — yes, it's as adorable as it sounds
💧 Leave out a shallow dish of water — they get thirsty too, OK?!
🚫 Ditch the pesticides — bees didn't come this far to be done in by your w**d killer
🌱 Leave the dandelions alone! They're basically five-star dining for bees

Big garden or a single windowsill pot — it ALL counts. Every flower is a full-on feast for a bee who's just trying to get through the day. 💛 Tag your fellow garden lover and let's make this the buzziest World Bee Day yet! 🐝☕
