Puppies 😍😍

Yesterday I met this wonderful litter of Shih Tzu puppies 💜

5 puppies, all microchipped and health checked! Ready to go to their new homes 💞

These guys all had names already, picked by their new families or their breeder. Which they all suited so well 💜

They have been well handled, interacted with and taught some all important manners. I wasn’t mouthed once while I was there, just plenty kisses!

Two puppies are looking for a home still 🐶 Hopefully finding their forever home soon!

🐾 Bringing veterinary nursing care to you 🐾

Angus came to visit me at my clinic! A OG home visit boy wanted to do his nosey!

Angus as usual was full of carry on. He delightfully gulped his “Premium Aqua” (a regular bowl of water, but we wanted him to enjoy his experience 😂) with gusto. He also made a point of trailing the water through the clinic… three times. The mop was put to work! 🪣

He then proceeded to be a little dramatic in the sling. Once his small tantrum was over… he fell asleep in the sling. Snoring his head off during the appointment. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Angus took full advantage of the bundle package, which includes;

👂 Ear Clean
💩 Gland Expression

Much to his delight, there was a steady flow of gravy bones. His mum got a coffee (which I hope was absolutely fine as I’m no Barista) and he had great fun running riot.

The phases of Mikey 😂

First photo is my greeting. I felt so welcome 🤣 Mikey had a bad start to the day. It rained on his morning walk. His mum did not bring his raincoat, he was disappointed. After a stressful morning, he was drying off in his robe, relaxing on his favourite chair. Then, I walked through the door. Enough said.

Second photo; post “torture” (Pawdicure), the only redeeming quality I have is my supply of gravy bones. Mikey waits patiently for his snack.

Third photo, land shark, retrieval of gravy bones. 🤣🤣

Mikey is doing so much better for his pawdicure, despite the visual disgust at my presence. We’ve also managed to reshape a lot of his nails, they’re no longer growing towards his feet in a tight curl. Well done Mikey, even if you dislike me, I’m proud of how far you’ve come! 💜

Yesterday I met Bolt 😍🐶

This boy is a rescue, he didn’t have the best start and is wary of strangers. Once it was established that Auntie Nicola had gravy bones I was welcomed 😂

This boy couldn’t cope with a busy vet clinic environment yet, so, I visited for a general health check. This will build the foundation for future visits!

Bolt was a trooper and he let me;

🩺 Listen to his heart and lungs
🌡️ Take his temp using an ear thermometer
🦷 Check his gums and teeth
🐕 Carry out a nose-to-tail check up
⚖️ Weigh him and assess his body condition

All during his first appointment with me!

This girl used to be terrified of nail trims. Now she throws herself down, tail wagging softly, relaxed and nails are done 💅

Immediately after she’s looking for her gravy bone 🦴 😂

Over the last two years I’ve managed to build trust like this with so many pets. It honestly makes me feel like I’ve accomplished so much 🙌🏻💜
