Sadly, the weather today precludes us from taking advantage of today's National Day as it is Outdoor Office Day. But, for those that can, we encourage you to take your mobile and laptop into the garden and enjoy working in the fresh air.

June is National Migraine and Headache Awareness Month so we thought we'd remind you that these debilitating conditions affects around 1 in 7 people.

First the difference between the two. Whilst all migraines are headaches, headaches are not always migraines. Headaches cause pain in the neck, sinuses, face, and head. Migraines, however, cause debilitating pain, visual disturbances, or both. They can last for hours or days and are often chronic. Without relief, migraines can cause other symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness and can also lead to depression.

Sadly, many people still refer to bad headaches as migraines but the prevention and treatment of the two, whilst similar in some respects, can be vastly different.

Today we enter Men's Health Week. We've often covered the fact that women neglect their health in favour of that of their families'. But men often neglect it for fear of seeming weak.

Breaking the silence around mental ill-health is crucial to building psychologically safe workplace environments. Sadly, many men suffer in silence; with su***de still the main cause of death amongst men under 35.

So, unsurprisingly, we're recommending that you open up about any issues bothering you and to get any health issues checked out sooner rather than later.

Today is Ride to Work Day and with World Environment Day on Friday, it's perfect timing for a post.

For many, though, biking to work can be difficult due to the distances involved and the route; some roads wouldn't be an option - motorways for example.

However, even if you can't cycle the whole way to work there are compromises you can make such as taking your car part way and biking the rest or biking to and from the railway station.

Font, colour, and positioning are all important when putting up signs. Getting it wrong can lead to confusion as this demonstrates.

However, we feel we aren't breaking any agreements by telling you that a project on which we recently worked has been nominated for an innovation award; especially as the client took the time to share the news with us in person.

Today is Leave The Office Early Day. This used to be a real treat but, with many working from home still, the line between work and home can be blurred. But, for those who do work from home, it is important to set time boundaries and not let work spread into home life.

There's also a little bit of irony with the timing of this for us today as, due to a road closure, our office is completely closed today...
