BENVENUTO CELLINI, who was later declared a non-runner, was matched at a low of 3.9 on the Betfair Exchange with around 2.5 furlongs to go of the Derby, at Epsom on Saturday.
Given his price for approximately the first 10 seconds drifted from around 4.5 to 5.0, the effect of his start was perceived by experienced in-running bettors to be negligible.

The Robson De Aguiar-trained 𝗘𝗗𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 (𝟭𝟬𝟮𝗽) opened his account at the second attempt, when bolting up by 5 1/2 lengths at Cork on his second start. He ran to a useful level in the process and he can make his mark in better company; open to further improvement.
Aidan O'Brien's 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗥 𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗙 (𝟭𝟬𝟮𝗽) had to work a bit harder than expected to maintain his unbeaten record, although it is likely he hadn't learnt a great deal on debut, still looking quite rough around the edges but responding well once things started to click.
He's open to further improvement, and will having leading claims in the Coventry, but will have no problem staying 7f when the time comes. The son of No Nay Never is currently head of the betting for that Royal Ascot contest, and is a best price of 7/2.

The Oaks is very much on the cards for winner PRECISE (118) who was clearly all the better for her reappearance, comprehensively turning around Newmarket form with the placed horses, in doing so becoming the fourth in a row to land the Irish 1000 Guineas having been beaten in the English equivalent.
She hit the line really strongly, which offers hope that 1½m will be within range, the one to beat at Epsom if she takes her chance.
The win completed a clean sweep of the equivalent Newmarket, French and Irish classics for Aidan O'Brien, and he did it with three different fillies.

🔵 VENETIAN SUN (118p) stamped her authority on the division with a breathtaking display in a race that tends to unearth a top sprinter, this not quite at the level which Harry Angel achieved but very much up there with both stablemate Quiet Reflection and Inisherin who both went on to follow up at Royal Ascot.
What seemed an open Commonwealth Cup beforehand now looks hers to lose, and, considering the lack of depth around with the domestic sprinters at present, she could be a coming force in open Group 1s this season, for trainer Karl Burke.
