Yesterday’s video resonated with SO many of you! It’s clear we’ve all had moments of doubt in our riding.
I wanted to make sure you also saw these moments from the same sessions, because the truth is my work with means when I have a moment of self-doubt, it stays a moment not a mindset.

This was, now, weeks ago, and I’ve waited to share it because I wanted to show it in context of the YouTube video which shows what a fleeting moment this was, but also because I’ve been working behind the scenes with about how I want to show up in a way that feels right and works for my actual riding improvement.
Posting this now, I’ve completely worked through this moment and it feels like years away from my current moment rather than sharing it when I’m still processing.
Just because we work on our mindset, it doesn’t mean that we are perfect, and it doesn’t mean that we don’t have difficult moments where we are scared.
This feeling that you see in this video was the result of a CrossCountry schooling session, that had happened the week before camp. A totally unfortunate accident where I fell off twice, but for me the first fall in particular was scary and quite intense.
Heading off to camp the week after I found myself struggling to get back into the groove immediately. At first I would be myself for not being able to bounce back quick enough (despite the fact that I got back on and continue to jump on the CrossCountry day) but when I was editing this blog I realised that actually this was a really short moment in time and I carried on as normal in minutes.
Everybody struggle sometimes, it’s about how we manage it in that moment and I hope that the YouTube video can show you a bit of that process in real time❤️

A very special day this week as my first ever bespoke saddle arrived 🥹 I can’t explain how cool it’s been to work with a saddler and saddle maker in and who have helped me make adjustments for my body.
The saddle features a square cantle (the bit at the back) as well as adjustments to the knee roll and stirrup bars position and angle to make space for my longer thighs and help position my pelvis.
I have felt for a long time that I was never quite right in my saddle, and riding in this one for the first time it was really quite fun.
This was the only photo I took, the rest of the time I spent enjoying my riding lesson and getting soaked in the rain 🤣
I bought the saddle, but I did receive a discount.

Picture the scene: your usual clockwork like morning has gone awry and over running meetings mean you make it to the yard 15 mins before your lunchtime dressage lesson. You are met with THIS 😆
I’m glad for the rain, really I am… but Harley, darling.
